Module 4: Life Applications

To prepare you for the final module, Module 4 is a lesson on how to tie everything together and apply the exercises learned in real life.

Congratulations on learning how to properly stretch, workout using running cardio methods, and strength training! Now it is time to use all three of these methods in a real workout! Watch the video below for more information on Orange Theory Fitness.

Do - Mobile Learning Activity Prep

Now that you are more informed on Orange Theory, it is time to prepare for your mobile learning activity - trying out a free one hour Orange Theory class.

Find a nearby Orange Theory location.

Next, select an open class to be held in the next week and book it. You will need to provide basic contact information to confirm your class.

To prepare for your first class...

  • Arrive 30 minutes early for an introduction to the equipment by a coach

  • Wear appropriate workout clothes

  • Bring a towel and water bottle

During your Orange Theory workout, keep in mind how you will use your knowledge from Modules 1-3 (Stretching, Cardio, Strength Training)

Connect - Mobile Learning Activity

After your class is booked and you're prepared for your class, it's time to attend your first Orange Theory Class! After each Orange Theory class, you receive an email that details your workout. This email will have your calories burn count, as well as average heart rate. See my example below!

Email your workout summary to me by 11:59 PM the day of your class for full credit (40 points)

Full points will be given to students who...

  • Successfully book and attend a class

  • Burn at least 100 calories, showing effort in the class

  • Email the workout results before 11:59 PM the day of the class

Absorb (Watch video): 2% (20 points possible)

Do (Book Class): 2% (20 points possible)

Connect (Attend Class): 2% (20 points possible)

Evaluation: 4% (40 points possible)

Total Points: 100 (20 % of grade)

Grading Scale (in %)

A: 90 - 100

B: 80-89

C: 70-79

D: 60-69

F: 0-59

Summary

Great job on the completion of Module 4: Life Applications. You now are aware of a great workout method through Orange Theory Fitness. If you are interested, memberships are available. Module 5 will conclude the course by taking everything you have learned so far in a challenging and unique way!
